Built for academia and public institutions
Sympozio is an event platform for scholarly and institutional convening, and we treat it as exactly that. Our users are universities, learned societies, research institutes, academic secretariats and public bodies — organisations accountable to committees, to funders, to ethics boards and to their own members.
That shapes how we work. We expect to be asked how personal data is handled, and we answer in writing. We expect procurement to take time and to involve people who were not in the first conversation. We expect the platform to be examined by someone whose job is to find the problem with it — and we would rather that happened before you commit than after.
What helps us prepare
None of this is required — a single line is a perfectly good start — but the more you tell us, the more specific the demonstration.
- The event: what it is, roughly how many attendees, and when it runs.
- Its shape: parallel tracks, venues, and whether delegations register in bulk.
- Attendee categories: the tiers you need and what each one includes.
- Your timeline, and who at your institution needs to be convinced.
